I have read the article I refer to in the subject which talk about Ralph-Henry Bruyère. He was a Royal Engineer born in Montréal in 1765. As such I consider him as a Canadian not A British. His father John was a British officer and his mother was Catherine-Élisabeth Pommereau de Montesson co-seigneuresse de Bécancour. His wife was Janet Dunbar also born in Montréal, the daughter of Captain William Dunbar of the 44th foot while her mother was Thérèse-Josephte Fleury Deschambeault.

I would like to know where come your information about Dunbar being from the 84th regiment. Also, where come the information about Jessie as the first name of Ms Dunbar.

Thank you.
